Traditionalist Organizations

Below is information about “traditionalist” organizations, or organizations working against a fully inclusive church.

 The Wesleyan Covenant Association (WCA) is the leading voice for the conservative, or “traditional”, movement within the UMC. This group was instrumental in promoting the Traditional Plan that passed at GC2019, and has been vocal in their support of “traditional” sexual ethics. The WCA supports the Protocol of Grace and Reconciliation through Separation, and has already begun laying out plans for a post-separation denomination (to be named the Global Methodist Church).
